Box alarm fire in North Chicago, 9-28-20

A call was dispatched to Box 15-1 for a well-involved house fire at 2330 Lewis Avenue. Upon arrival, the structure appeared to be vacant and for sale. Firefighters quickly began suppression efforts as heavy smoke was visible from several windows.

The incident took place in a quiet neighborhood, but the fire quickly became intense. Firefighters worked through the early morning hours to bring the blaze under control. The home was reported to be empty at the time, and no injuries were reported. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
