Here's a message from Eric Haak:
I recently came across some rare and fascinating photos of Truck 60 in action during a rescue on November 11, 1972. These images were captured by Sylvester Szymczak, a local professional photographer who lived nearby. He was known for his exceptional work, especially during the Central Manufacturing District fire, likely because of his close proximity to the area. I purchased a collection of his prints, and when I saw these photos, I recognized the buildings in the background as being just two blocks from where I currently live. A few years later, I found an old logbook from Truck 60 and discovered the entry for this specific fire, which is shown in one of the final images. From my research, it appears that the person rescued survived. The ambulance in the photo is Ambulance 12.
