Large-scale coal methanol plant put into operation

Product Quality Meets American AA Grade Standards and Creates Several Domestic Records At the end of April, Yongcheng Coal & Electricity Group Co., Ltd. Longyu Coal Chemicals 500,000 tons/year coal-to-methanol plant has produced methanol products steadily, and after testing, product quality reaches the United States AA grade Standards and technical indicators are all in the control range, and all safety and environmental protection standards are met. The device became the world's first large-scale coal-to-methanol plant that was put into production using the Shell coal gasification technology.
Since its construction in October 2005, the Wing Coal Longyu Coal Chemical Project has continuously created a number of records in the country, including short construction period, quick production and high product quality. The start of ignition, feeding trials until the methanol production was a success. After the project is put into operation, it consumes 1.27 million tons of coal annually, and the added value per ton of coal is increased by about 6 times.
The project uses a large number of energy-saving emission reduction technologies. The adopted dry powder pressurized coal gasification technology has the advantages of high gasification efficiency, low coal consumption, wide adaptability of raw materials, and low emission of “three wastes”. The comprehensive energy consumption is lower in the current domestic coal-to-methanol plant. Other key technologies also use advanced production technologies that are environmentally friendly, highly efficient, and energy-efficient, and all discharged slag and ash are comprehensively utilized. Gasification wastewater discharge is small, and it does not contain tar, phenol, and other refractory impurities, ammonia nitrogen, cyanide content is also low, easy to handle. In particular, the source of water used for the production of coal mines is Yongchang Coal.
