Grayslake Fire Protection District has recently acquired a 1988 Pierce Dash 1250-GPM, 2500-gallon tanker that was originally purchased new by the Countryside Fire Protection District. The unit was later transferred to the Libertyville Fire Department in 2010, where it served for several years before being passed on to Grayslake. This tanker has a rich history, having been part of two different departments over the decades.
The vehicle is now officially part of Grayslake’s fleet, marking an important addition to their resources. It's a classic piece of firefighting equipment that has seen its share of service and is now ready to support the community once again.
