On Wednesday afternoon, Chi-Town Fire Photos was called to a fast-moving fire at a newly constructed 3-story home located at 910 N. Wood, extending to 912 N. Wood. The property was under construction and had just begun receiving spray foam insulation when the fire broke out. Upon arrival, Engine 30 quickly positioned itself at the front of the house and deployed a deck gun, while Engine 14 maneuvered down the alley and also used a deck gun on the rear side. In total, six hand lines were in operation alongside the two deck guns, showing a strong and coordinated response.
The fire had spread rapidly into the attic of the exposure house to the north, creating heavy flames that threatened nearby structures. Fortunately, the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) responded swiftly and brought the fire under control in a timely manner. Their efforts were crucial in preventing further damage and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
