The union said that the strike will affect the entire automotive industry in Brazil. Delphi’s Brazilian factory workers are also among the strikers, and the Delphi Brazilian factory supplies parts for GM (Brazil).
On September 6th, metal workers at General Motors’ São Josédos Campos factory also had a strike due to salary disputes. Eventually, General Motors agreed to raise wages by 10.8%, 3.2% higher than the inflation rate.
