Dow Chemical may repay up to $9.2 billion in bridging loans at the end of this year. This loan helped it complete its acquisition of Rohm and Haas. In order to repay the loan, Dow Chemical accelerated the process of asset stripping and sales. As of the end of the second quarter of this year, the company had only 4.1 billion U.S. dollars of loans outstanding.
