Xinjiang Tianye’s chlor-alkali water-saving project passed the year-end inspection of the Ministry of Science and Technology

This month, the 2009 “Eleventh Five-Year” National Science and Technology Support Key Project “The High Water Consumption Industry Water Saving Technology Development and Demonstration” project briefing meeting was held in Beijing. The five organizations responsible for the project: China Metallurgical Group Construction Research Institute, The Beijing Mining and Metallurgy Research Institute, China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute, China Petroleum Group Shengli Petroleum Administration and Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Chemical Research Institute participated in the briefing.
Dean Zhou Jun of Xinjiang Tianye Group Research Institute detailed the overall progress of the sub-topic “Chemical Enterprise Water Saving Technology Development” undertaken by Tianye Group Corporation. At present, the research and development contents of this topic have been fully completed. The national support funds are all in place. Three national invention patents have been applied and 13 related papers have been published. The key technologies have passed the identification of scientific and technological achievements. The three technologies covered by the topic have entered the chlor-alkali industry. "Chloroethylene) Cleaner Production Standard" specifies application technology, and all indicators have exceeded the project's expected goals. The relevant leaders and review experts of the Ministry of Science and Technology gave high praise to the completion of the project.
According to the overall deployment of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the key projects in 2010 will enter the acceptance stage.
