Just now, General Secretary Xi Jinping and other central leaders presented awards to Academician Zhang Cunhao, academician Cheng Kaijia, and other award-winning personnel who received the highest national science and technology award. The Science and Technology Awards Conference is an annual event in China's scientific and technological circles and a concentrated display of major achievements in scientific and technological innovation. At present, China is in the decisive stage of building an innovative country. Faced with the increasingly fierce competition in the world's scientific and technological revolutions and industrial changes and the seizure of future commanding heights, facing the challenges of intensifying domestic resource and environmental constraints, increasing factor costs, and increasingly conspicuous structural conflicts, it mainly relies on traditional growth driven by factor inputs. It is necessary to deepen reforms and improve the market orientation mechanism for technological innovation.
