Problems and precautions in thread turning

.Before turning the thread, check the spindle handle position and the position of the feed box handle. Turn the spindle by hand to see if the weight is too heavy or the Idle load is too large.

.when using high speed steel cutting tools, lower cutting speed should be adopted, and pay attention to the intensity when turning.

.When turning the thread, the clasp nut must be closed in place. If you feel that the gate is not closed, should immediately raise the gate, and re-start.

.when turning the cast iron thread, radial feed should not be too large, otherwise it will cause the thread tooth tip to burst and cause waste.

.Pay attention ending the thread at the 1/3 circle when turning the thread of no tool withdrawal groove. To meet this requirement, you must first retract, then lift the clasp nut, and each retract to be consistent, otherwise it will hit the tip.

.Turning threads shall keep the cutting edge sharp. If you change or sharpen the knife halfway, you must re - adjust the tool and readjust the middle slide scale.

.When rough turning the thread, should leave the appropriate allowance for fine turning.

8. When finish turning, you should first use the least amount of allowance to cut off the side, leaving the margin to the other side.

.When using the ring gauge inspection, can not force too much or screw by wrench, to avoid serious wear or make the workpiece shift.

.When turning the thread, be careful not to touch the rotating workpiece with hand, and do not use cotton yarn to wipe the workpiece being rotated.

.After turning the thread, lift the clasp nut then lift the handle to the longitudinal feed position, so as not to crash while turning.
