Research Analysis and Design of Electromagnetic Diaphragm Metering Pump System

As a type of reciprocating pump, electromagnetic metering pumps have been widely used in the chemical, petroleum, food, pharmaceutical, papermaking, and plastic industries in recent years, and are increasingly concerned by manufacturers. Therefore, they have very good research value. However, the development time of domestic metering pumps is relatively late. For a long time, metering pumps have only existed as a type of domestic enterprise products. Due to insufficient attention to subsequent R&D, the type and control mode of the domestic product lags behind the latest development trend.

In view of this situation, this paper takes the LMI series electromagnetic diaphragm metering pump produced by American MILTON ROY Company as an example, and proposes a new type of metering pump driving device and its controller's analysis and design method. The pump uses a mechanically adjustable plunger with a fixed stroke, so that the plunger directly pushes the diaphragm to work; the use of frequency conversion to regulate the flow of the pump, the pump's structure is simple and easy to maintain.

This article has carried on the comparatively comprehensive research analysis and the design to this kind of electromagnetic metering pump, the content includes: (1) uses the magnetic circuit analysis method and the commercial ANSOFT electromagnetic field finite element analysis software to carry on the parameter computation to the electromagnetic actuation mechanism, and gives its static magnetic field distributed. (2) Use the Maxwell 2D software package to statically drive the electromagnetic drive mechanism.
