Zhang Xiaokai: It is not difficult to realize production and sales of 5.5 million vehicles this year

On April 10, Zhang Xiaoyu, vice president of the Federation of Machinery Industry and president of the China Association of Automotive Engineers, told reporters that in 2004, the production and sales of automobiles with 5.5 million vehicles were not difficult.

When attending the “2004 China Botou Auto Mould Forum”, Zhang Xiaoxuan said: “From the perspective of economic performance in the first quarter of this year, according to a conservative 20% growth rate, the total national automobile production this year will surely surpass 5 million. The situation is better, the consumer environment is better, and the total output is likely to exceed 5.5 million vehicles."

He estimated that by 2010, the national automobile production will be between 8 million and 10 million; by 2020, the domestic automobile demand and output will be between 14 million and 18 million; by 2020, China will surpass the United States and become a global The largest automotive producer.

Zhang Xiaojun reaffirmed in an interview with reporters during the meeting that as long as the country does not introduce policies that limit consumption, then in the current market environment, the production and sales of 5.5 million vehicles this year will be "not difficult."
