From Chi-Town Fire Photos:
On March 21, 2020, just after midnight, the 15th Battalion arrived at 38th and Ashland (3752 S Ashland) and reported a working structure fire. After about 20 minutes, they requested a Still & Box as they pulled all personnel out for defensive operations. A68 transported one firefighter in critical condition to the hospital following an incident inside the fire building. Three 2.5-inch lines were deployed, along with three aerial master streams. TL39, AT8, and Sq1’s Snorkel provided the aerial streams. A 2-11 was eventually called in by 2-2-4, though most of the 2-11 companies weren’t used. Notably, this was the first time AT8’s brand new rig utilized its pre-piped waterway system.

Recovery straps and tow straps are sometimes used interchangeably, but it's important to note that both cannot be used for the same purposes. The main difference between a towing strap and a recovery strap is the fabric and its ability to stretch. These straps are made of a nylon fabrication so they can stretch. A vehicle tow strap is usually made of polyester which stretches less than nylon. A tow strap does just that: tows a vehicle behind another. You'll generally find a tow strap with hooks on each end. Traditional tow straps and chains are similar in their towing applications.
