From August 21st to 23rd, Li Jiaxiang, deputy director of the Ministry of Communications and the Director-General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, led a delegation to the United States and held talks with U.S. Federal Aviation Administrator Hulta. The two sides jointly confirmed that the two civil aviation authorities will further deepen exchanges and cooperation in air traffic management, aviation safety information sharing, airworthiness certification, strategic initiatives, aviation energy-saving and emission reduction, and international cooperation, so as to promote China and the United States and even the world. During the visit, Li Jiaxiang also held talks with the Minister of Transportation of the US Department of Transportation, Mendes, and exchanged in-depth views on the development of air transport relations between China and the United States. The two sides agreed to hold a new round of Sino-U.S. aviation talks in the first half of 2015 to explore the possibility of further expanding the market access of China's air transport.
