According to the US Automotive News China report, Freudenberg Seal & Seal Technologies is building a plant in Changchun to produce dual-clutch transmission components.
The plant will produce hydraulic piston accumulators for the masses, basically replicating Freudenberg's factory in Lamegan, Germany, supplying the same components to the public.
Its parent company, Freudenberg NOK, is a joint venture between Germany's Freudenberg and Japan's NOK. The company produces seals, fuel systems and engine components.
Last year, Freudenberg NOK’s global sales of parts and components totaled 401 million U.S. dollars (2.5 billion).
