House fire in Arlington Heights, 3-17-16

This is from Larry Shapiro:

On Thursday evening, March 17, 2016, firefighters from Arlington Heights were called to a house at 127 N. Evanston Avenue after smoke was reported coming from the property. Upon arrival, first responders saw smoke billowing from the split-level home located in a cul-de-sac. The situation quickly escalated, and the alarm was upgraded to a Code 4 working fire. This prompted additional units from Arlington Heights, along with a truck from Mount Prospect and an engine from Prospect Heights, to respond.

The crews worked swiftly to gain access to the attic through a scuttle, allowing them to extinguish the fire within just 20 minutes. Thanks to their quick action, the fire was contained before it could spread further, minimizing damage and ensuring the safety of the residents.
