On April 21, Malaysian listed company Duo Heavy Industries (DRBHCOM) announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with China Jinxing Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (Goldstar) to sell Lotus cars in China. The company has two major auto companies, Proton and Lotus, which will manufacture and sell lotus brand cars, engines and accessories in China, and provide after-sales service, which is expected to be 2015-2030. The investment will reach RM6 billion.
The report pointed out that China is the world's largest auto market. In 2014, China's private car production and sales volume reached 1.92 million and 19.7 million, respectively. The huge Chinese market will benefit the long-term development of multi-heavy work.
