Rape breeding dynamics

One of the effective ways to increase oil content is to breed yellow-seeded rape. At present, Southwest Agricultural University, Shaanxi Agricultural Reclamation Center, and Huazhong Agricultural University have bred a promising group of yellow-seeded materials.
Transgenic high lauric acid (>40%) varieties, genetically modified herbicide-resistant varieties (80% of Canada's area is herbicide-resistant), and genetically modified male sterile hybrids have been put into large-scale production. China will pay more attention to genetically modified rapeseed research. Some universities and research institutes have carried out anti-insect, disease-resistant, herbicide-tolerant and plastic-producing canola and other transgenic research, but the country will strictly control the promotion of genetically modified canola in large areas. If genetically controlled rapeseeds are to be controlled, genetically modified herbicide resistant varieties may be the first to be applied.
In 2001, the Institute of Life Sciences of Fudan University had carried out the research on genetically modified herbicide-tolerant rape. It is expected that the transgenic herbicide-resistant oil menu strain will be available in 2003.
Huazhong Agricultural University uses the "two lines of ecological cytoplasmic male sterility" with independent intellectual property rights and the "nuclear + cytoplasmic male sterile line" to develop a new hybrid rapeseed combination with yield advantages, and is currently participating in the national and provincial varieties. The trial is expected to pass the validation in the next year.
The Crops Institute of Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences cultivated a new high-yield, high-oil rapeseed oil dual-use rapeseed variety, Zheshuang 72. When the species is raised during the mossing period, the height of the moss is 35 cm, and when the moss is 10 cm, 150-200 kg of lettuce can be collected per acre, which can increase the added value by 150-200 yuan. Suitable for planting in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
In 1999, Huazhong Agricultural University successfully planted edible canola in Hezheng County, Gansu Province. The growth period of feed rape is more than 2 months. The average yield of green feed is 2500-3000 kg, which is about twice as high as that of green feed such as pupa and arrow peas. According to Gansu University in 2000, the content of protein in feed rape was high, dry matter was 23.88%, fresh dry matter was 2.27%, slightly lower than that of legumes such as alfalfa, and crude fat and nitrogen-free extract were higher than alfalfa and other legumes. .
