On April 15th, the State Power Shaanxi Electric Power Company organized an expert acceptance committee to study the “Pressure electrode fouling regulation and descaling technology of converter valve” and “Standard distribution type transmission line tower anticorrosion reduction” completed by Shaanxi Academy of Electric Power. The technical research on the application of resistance-grounded devices "is carried out by the project and the technical acceptance of the expert acceptance committee has been successfully passed.

The project team of "Pressurized electrode fouling rule of the converter valve and descaling technology" set up a database of the shape, weight, composition and position of the pressure-equalizing electrode of the converter valve, and elaborated the mechanism of electrode fouling between the electrodes. Electro-adsorption and electrolysis were induced by voltage changes, and the main component of electrode fouling was aluminum trihydroxyaluminum. The distribution of scaling on the structure of the valve tower was obtained. The water quality requirements and filling and transportation methods of the internal cooling water were proposed. The electrode descaling technology process was formulated, and the technology of desorption of gas on the electrode surface of the additive was enhanced. The research results have been applied in electrode descaling at Baoji Converter Station, and the economic benefits are significant. The acceptance committee concluded that the research results obtained by the research project, such as the structure and rules of the pressure equalizing electrode structure of the converter valve, and the scaling removal technology, have reached the leading level in the country and agreed that the project will pass technical acceptance.

The “Research on Applied Technology of Anti-corrosion and Resistance-reducing Grounding Devices for Transmission Lines of Standard Distribution Lines” project clarifies the changing rule of grounding protection radius with soil moisture content and installation distance for anti-corrosion and drag-resistance modules, and proposes the anti-corrosion and drop-resistance of standard distribution transmission line towers. Grounding process, developed a standard distribution type transmission line tower anticorrosion resistance grounding module and hot melt welding powder of the best formula and special mold, completed the standard design of anti-corrosion and drop resistance grounding device for four typical towers, and in The Qiannan test station and the 330 kV south line were field tested and applied.
