The chlor-alkali industry in Xuzhou has a production history of nearly 50 years, and it has been in an important position both in the province and even in China in the early years. It is reported that the local coal reserves have been proved to be more than 3.9 billion tons and the estimated reserves are 6.9 billion tons; Limestone has proven reserves of 25 billion tons; the annual exploitation volume is 20 million tons; rock salt has proven reserves of 550 million tons, and the estimated reserves are 2.1 billion tons. Moreover, salt mines have the advantages of high grade, thick rock formation and stable layer (general grade salt content 70%~80%). In addition, Xuzhou is also rich in the following resources that are essential to the chlor-alkali industry: Natural gas - West-East Gas Pipeline Project has set up a diversion station in the city to provide opportunities for the chlor-alkali industry; the power supply is sufficient - the total installed capacity of thermal power is about 640 Million KW, it is estimated that by 2010, the city's installed capacity will reach 10 million KW; there are 16 thermal power plants - the city's central heating coverage of more than 90%, annual production of 4 million tons of steam; rich in water resources - close to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal The total amount of water resources is about 2.6 billion cubic meters, including about 900 million cubic meters of surface runoff and 1.7 billion cubic meters of underground (shallow) water. In this regard, Xuzhou chlor-alkali industry has obvious resource advantages.

The chlor-alkali consumption market has great potential.
