The key research project of the Knowledge Innovation Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences--the key technology research of polylactide industrialization and processing and molding passed the expert acceptance of the High-tech Research and Development Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. After the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences assumed the project in 2007, researchers started from L-lactic acid to take a two-step process to synthesize polylactide resin, which broke through the key technologies of oligo-lactic acid cleavage, lactide refining, and ring-opening polymerization. More than 10 special polylactic acid resins, such as sheet grade, injection molding grade, heat-resistant grade, film grade, fiber grade, high crystallinity, and low cost, have formulated corporate standards for various resins. The product quality is stable, and has been widely used in many fields. They also solved the key issues that restrict polylactic acid blister, injection molding and blow molding, and formed a series of polylactic acid processing technology. After evaluating the spinnability of polylactic acid resins of different grades, a polylactic acid melt spinning technology was developed, which can be normally produced on a 1000-ton pre-oriented silk production line. During the project research period, 16 Chinese invention patents were filed, of which 4 were authorized.

In 2008, the project team completed the construction, operation and technical optimization of a 5000 tons/year demonstration line of polylactic acid in Zhejiang Haizheng Group, making it the first company in China and the second largest company in the world to achieve a scale of more than 1,000 tons per year. , Formed 5 series more than 20 kinds of products, and exported to Europe and Japan and other countries and regions, and achieved an output value of 120 million yuan. The products of the project are widely used in the fields of packaging film and foam materials, ecological agricultural plastic products, disposable plastic products, textile fibers, medical plastic products, etc., and can provide powerful material support for solving environmental pollution and petroleum shortage. At present, the demonstration production line is operating stably. It is expected that the production line with an annual output of 30,000 tons will be completed by the end of 2013.

Polylactic acid is a completely biodegradable new type of green plastic. It not only has good biocompatibility and biodegradability, but also has properties similar to polypropylene and polyethylene. It can be processed by injection molding, extrusion, etc. Fibers, films, rods, blocks, plates, etc., used in textile, packaging and other civilian, industrial and medical special applications, while solving the problem of white pollution caused by plastic, is recognized as a new type of environmental protection and sustainable development in the world.
