Hey there,
I've got an interesting find for anyone looking into purchasing a used ambulance. This 2008 International 4300 Medtec ambulance body is currently up for sale, and it’s in pretty solid condition. Here's what you need to know:
The vehicle has around 75,500 miles on it, but it's still actively in service and has been well-maintained by certified diesel mechanics for the past two years. It’s powered by a Maxxforce engine with 225 horsepower and an Allison EVS 2000 automatic transmission. With a 20,000-pound gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), it features an 8,000-pound front suspension and a 12,000-pound rear air suspension setup. The wheelbase is 175 inches, offering plenty of headroom at 74 inches.
It comes equipped with a battery box that can hold three batteries, which was replaced back in November 2022. There’s also a 50-gallon fuel tank, along with Eq2b and Whelen sirens, and all Whelen emergency lighting. The HID and LED scene lighting provide excellent visibility during operations, and there’s even a backup camera with an interior camera for added security. The idle feature ensures the vehicle can stay operational without excessive wear.
Maintenance records will be provided to interested buyers, showing regular upkeep. The front tires have only seen about 2,000 miles, while the rear tires have 15,000 miles on them. Recently, new rear air suspension airbags, as well as front and rear shocks, were installed. The front and passenger seats have been freshly upholstered, and the entire HVAC system has been overhauled for optimal performance.
Included in the sale is a Stryker power loader (though the stretcher itself is not included). Please note that all graphics, radios, and additional equipment will be removed before the sale. The asking price is set at $50,000, and for those interested, additional photos, videos, and maintenance records are available upon request.
Feel free to reach out to us via email for more details. We’re happy to help answer any questions you might have.
Thanks,
Martin
Car rear bumper
The rear bumper is an important part installed at the rear of the car. It mainly protects the rear structure of the vehicle, decorates the body, and absorbs energy and reduces damage during collisions. It is usually made of plastic, metal or composite materials, coordinated with the overall shape of the car body, adding beauty to the vehicle while providing safety protection.
Â
Collision buffer:
When a vehicle is hit from behind, the rear bumper is the first line of defense, absorbing and dispersing the impact energy, reducing damage to the vehicle structure and passengers. Through its own deformation and internal buffer structure, it effectively reduces the impact of the collision and protects key vehicle components such as the trunk, taillights, and rear suspension.
Â
Design:
The shape of the rear bumper is usually coordinated with the style of the whole vehicle, adding a unique visual effect to the rear of the car. Its lines and shapes can be smoothly integrated with the body of the car, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the vehicle. The rear bumper designs of different models have their own characteristics, some are simple and generous, and some are sporty and fashionable, meeting the different aesthetic needs of consumers.
Â
Trailer hook installation:
Some models have a trailer hook installation hole on the rear bumper, which is convenient for installing a trailer hook when needed to realize the vehicle's towing function. This is very practical for users who need to tow large items such as RVs and yachts.
