How to choose the winter lubricant

There are two main metrics when selecting a lubricant: the oil level and the viscosity level, first select the oil level and then select the viscosity level.

If you pay attention to the oil drum when you change the oil, you may have seen symbols such as CH-4 or CJ-4 on the oil lubrication barrel. What does this mean?
Lubricant quality level
These represent the level of lubricating oil. The "S" series represents the gasoline engine oil; the "C" series represents the diesel engine oil. When the two letters "S" and "C" are present at the same time, it means that the engine oil is of the general type for diesel engines. At the same time, it is also divided into different levels. 2. Viscosity level
In addition, you will find SAE 15W-40 and other symbols on the drum. What does it mean? The 15W in front indicates the low-temperature viscosity grade, which is divided into 0W, 5W, 10W, 15W, 20W, 25W. Good; behind the 40 indicates the viscosity level at 100 °C, divided into 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, the greater the number, the higher the viscosity.
The performance of oil at different temperatures
Only consider the use of oil in high temperature or low temperature environment such as SAE 40, 50, 10W, etc. as a single-grade viscosity oil. Considering the high temperature performance, the oil with better low temperature performance is called multi-grade viscous engine oil, such as SAE 5W-40 and 15W-40. At present, it is mostly multi-grade viscosity oil.
