Recently, the 300-ton marine environmental monitoring vessel built in the environmental monitoring ship project undertaken by Qinhuangdao Environmental Protection Monitoring Station has undergone stages of assembly welding, hull closing, cabin piping and component welding, main engine installation and commissioning, etc. The construction has been basically completed, and the subsequent construction and testing work is officially launched.
The 300-ton marine environmental monitoring ship project is one of the key sub-projects of the joint prevention and control capacity building in the Qinhuangdao Monitoring Capacity Improvement Project. The design unit of the environmental monitoring vessel is the 702th Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. The construction unit is Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., which was officially started on March 15, 2016.

It will undertake marine environmental monitoring work including some sea areas in the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, and will also provide effective support for environmental monitoring in Qinhuangdao City and surrounding coastal waters, laying a solid foundation for effective marine environmental monitoring and scientific investigation.
