At the upcoming exhibition of industrial textiles and nonwoven materials, the Non-Manufacturing Equipment Engineering Department of Qingdao Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. will showcase its latest innovation: a high-speed cross-lapper designed to enhance efficiency in nonwoven fabric production. This advanced machine is set to revolutionize the front-end process of spunlace and needle-punched nonwoven lines.
The new high-speed cross-laying machine utilizes a servo-driven transmission system, allowing for precise speed control. It features an installed clamp-type compensator that ensures smooth operation and adjustable speed settings. With a maximum speed of up to 100 meters per minute, it meets the growing demand for high-speed and high-quality production. Its technical specifications are now approaching international standards, marking a significant step forward in domestic textile machinery development.
Compared to the traditional model, which uses a variable frequency drive and operates at 50–60 meters per minute, the new version represents a major upgrade. The previous model has already been widely adopted across China, with over 30 units sold. The new machine was developed based on extensive R&D efforts and has already been installed and commissioned at a production facility in Jiangsu. It is expected to begin full operations in early September, signaling the start of commercial deployment.
In addition to the cross-lapper, Qingdao Textile Machinery also offers complete needle-punched nonwoven fabric lines. These systems are ideal for producing high-quality base fabrics for leather, automotive interiors, filtration materials, and geotextiles. The machines feature a compact design and high-density needle punching, ensuring superior performance and durability.
