Wheaton Fire Department ceremony

This message comes from John Tulipano: --- Hey everyone, I just got back from attending an incredible ceremony at the Wheaton Fire Department last Thursday, May 28, 2015. It was inspiring to see so many dedicated individuals being recognized for their hard work and commitment. Here’s what happened: First up, we had three new firefighters who were sworn in. Their names are Nick Mellinger and Matt Ackerman—welcome aboard, guys! These folks are now officially part of the team, and I’m sure they’ll bring plenty of energy and dedication to the job. Next, there were some well-deserved promotions. Chris Hunecke, Mike Byas, and Mike Franzone all moved up to the rank of Lieutenant. This is a big step for them, and it reflects their leadership skills and years of service. Congratulations to each of them! And then came the biggest promotions of the day. Jeff MacKay and Pete Vassios were both promoted to Assistant Chief. That’s no small feat, and it speaks volumes about their experience, professionalism, and ability to lead under pressure. Great job, gentlemen! A huge round of applause goes out to all these firefighters for their achievements. Watching them accept their honors alongside their families was truly heartwarming. There’s something special about seeing how proud their loved ones are of them. Attached are some photos taken by John Tulipano himself. You can see the newly promoted firefighters posing happily with their families, looking proud and excited about this next chapter in their careers. There’s also a shot of the entire department gathered together—a testament to their unity and shared mission. I feel lucky to have been there to witness such a meaningful event. Firefighting isn’t just a job; it’s a calling, and these individuals exemplify what it means to serve and protect our community. Take care, [Your Name] --- The accompanying images show various moments from the ceremony, including close-ups of the new firefighters with their families and group shots of the entire department.
