Arkema France launches new impact modifier

A subsidiary of the Arkema Group in the United States has launched a new opaque, high-impact modifier tailored for injection molding and sheet extrusion applications. The product, named Clearstrength 859, is designed to boost impact strength by an additional 20% compared to conventional opaque modifiers. This innovation is especially beneficial for enhancing the impact resistance of rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (cPVC), without compromising on processing flexibility. The material maintains a broad processing temperature range, making it ideal for a variety of industrial applications where durability and performance are key. With its unique formulation, Clearstrength 859 offers manufacturers a reliable solution to improve product longevity while ensuring ease of use in existing production lines. This latest development underscores Arkema's ongoing commitment to delivering advanced polymer solutions that meet evolving market demands.
