On Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at 9:01 PM, the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District was alerted by a fire alarm and sent to 4711 St. Joseph Creek Road in Lisle. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames and smoke, leading to the immediate classification of the incident as a structure fire. After a thorough assessment, four units within the building were found to be uninhabitable due to extensive smoke and water damage. One resident from the unit where the fire originated was taken to Edward Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported among civilians or emergency responders.
