Introduction of Magnetic Separator
Magnetic separation is a continuous process that separates magnetic materials from non-magnetic ones. The mixture passes through a strong magnetic field, where magnetic particles are attracted to the separator and discharged through a chute. This method is widely used in various industries for material processing.
The efficiency of the separator depends on the magnet's strength and the conveyor speed. The magnet length ensures that the magnetic material remains in the magnetic field for 0.4 to 0.5 seconds. Strontium Ferrite permanent blocks are used to achieve a surface gauss of 2500.
The gap between the magnet and the conveyor is adjustable. A smaller gap improves separation efficiency. Each separator has its own drive system, and stainless steel splitters are placed between chutes to enhance performance. A vibrating feeder with two unbalance motors ensures even material distribution across the belt.
Classification of Magnetic Separator
Electromagnetic Type (with control panel): uses rare earth and ferrite magnets to form a permanent magnetic system.
Permanent Type (without control panel): uses excitation coils to form an electromagnetic system. It is commonly used in continuous operations with large amounts of iron.

Operating Principle
The magnetic and non-magnetic material passes under the magnetic separator via a conveyor. The mixture is evenly fed onto the conveyor by a feeder. Under the influence of the magnetic field, the magnetic material is attracted upwards towards the magnet face. It is carried along the cleated belt of the separator and continuously discharged into the magnet chute. The non-magnetic material is carried by the bottom conveyor and discharged into the non-magnet chute.

Model Selection
1. Consider belt width, inclination, material properties, humidity, thickness, iron content, and environment before choosing a model.
2. For high iron content, choose RCDC, RCDD, or RCDF series.
3. For low iron content, choose RCDA, RCDB, or RCDE series.
4. When using suspended electric and permanent magnet iron removers, use WCTG series five parallel rollers if the material is thick for better removal.
5. If the material cannot be removed by the iron remover, use a metal detector and automatic shutdown for iron removal.
