Introduction of Magnetic Separator
Magnetic separation is a continuous process that separates magnetic materials from non-magnetic ones. The mixture passes through a strong magnetic field, where magnetic materials are attracted to the separator's surface and discharged in a chute.
The efficiency of the separator depends on the magnet strength and conveyor speed. The magnet length is designed so that magnetic material stays in the field for 0.4 to 0.5 seconds. Strontium Ferrite permanent blocks achieve a surface gauss of 2500.
The gap between the magnet and conveyor is adjustable. A smaller gap increases separation efficiency. Individual drives are used for the separator and conveyor. Adjustable stainless steel splitters are placed between chutes. A vibrating feeder with two unbalance motors ensures even material distribution across the belt, improving separation. Belt-type separators are available for widths ranging from 650 mm to 2000 mm.
Classification of Magnetic Separator
Electromagnetic Type (with control panel): Uses rare earth magnets and ferrite magnets to form its magnetic system.
Permanent Type (without control panel): Uses excitation coils to create an electromagnetic system. Ideal for continuous operation with large amounts of iron.

Operating Principle
Magnetic and non-magnetic materials pass under the magnetic separator via a conveyor. A feeder ensures even distribution. Magnetic materials are attracted to the magnet face, carried along the cleated belt, and continuously discharged into the magnet chute. Non-magnetic materials are carried by the bottom conveyor and discharged into the non-mag chute.

Model Selection
1. Consider factors like conveyor type, belt width, inclination, material properties, humidity, thickness, iron content, nature of ferromagnetic materials, iron removal requirements, and environment before selecting a model.
2. For high iron content, choose RCDC, RCDD, or RCDF series.
3. For low iron content, choose RCDA, RCDB, or RCDE series.
4. When using suspended electric or permanent magnet iron removers, use WCTG series five parallel rollers if the material is thick to improve iron removal rate.
5. If materials cannot be adsorbed, use a metal detector followed by automatic iron removal after shutdown.
