Milan, Italy — Baosheng is currently manufacturing an injection molding machine with a clamping force of 6,600 tons, marking the largest machine ever produced by the company. The machine is expected to be shipped to Jcoplastic SpA this fall, signaling a major milestone for both companies.
Based in Battipaglia, Italy, Jcoplastic specializes in producing large bins and gardening products. This new machine will be used to manufacture 2,200-liter wheeled containers. The two-injection unit system can handle up to 100 kg of material per cycle. Liam Burns, general manager of Pou Sheng America, explained that the injection units are arranged side-by-side in parallel, optimizing efficiency and precision.
In addition to the injection system, Baosheng has also provided an automated production unit. After the robot removes the finished bin, the automated device grinds the part, inserts it into the wheel, and performs a full inspection to ensure quality control.
Before the 6,600-ton machine was completed, there had already been a big buzz around the delivery of massive molds from German suppliers. These molds were transported through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, which connects France and Italy on the western side of the Alps. During one such transport, the tunnel had to be closed for three hours due to the oversized load, causing a significant traffic jam along the 7-mile passage.
Baosheng noted that each mold measures 4.4 meters wide and 4 meters tall. The entire machine is 26 meters long and weighs 582 tons, capable of handling molds weighing up to 132 tons. This project highlights not only Baosheng's engineering capabilities but also its commitment to supporting global clients with cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.
