A lamella clarifier is a highly efficient water treatment system designed to remove suspended particles from liquids. It features multiple inclined plates or tubes that increase the effective settling area, allowing sludge, sand, and other impurities to settle more efficiently. As these particles slide down the plates under gravity, they are collected in a hopper and discharged. This design enhances separation efficiency by 50%-60%, making it an ideal solution for various industrial applications.
**Application of Lamella Clarifier**
1. **Electroplating**
The lamella clarifier effectively removes at least 90% of heavy metal ions such as chromium, copper, iron, zinc, and nickel from electroplating wastewater. Treated water meets discharge standards and can be safely released, offering an economical and eco-friendly solution.
2. **Mining**
Using a lamella clarifier significantly reduces the turbidity of mining wastewater, bringing it from 500-1500 mg/L down to as low as 5 mg/L.
3. **Dyeing and Printing**
In dyeing and printing processes, the clarifier can reduce color content by 70%-90% and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) by 50%-70%.
4. **Tanning and Food Processing**
During tanning and food processing, large amounts of organic matter are produced. The lamella clarifier can achieve a COD removal rate of 50-80% and over 90% removal of solid impurities.
5. **Chemical Engineering**
