Centralized power supply: Connect a 12V centralized power supply to a 220V power supply, and then connect the 2*1.0 red and black power cables to the camera. The 12V power supply distance must not exceed 100 meters. After connecting a single power cable connector, connect a single power cable connector and surveillance camera power connector. The centralized power supply mode refers to centralized power supply to the front-end load using a 12V switching power supply in the monitoring room or an intermediate point.

Advantages: 220V AC voltage loss during transmission, strong anti-interference ability.

Disadvantages: Each point must be installed a power supply, construction is more troublesome.

Third, PoE power supply

PoE power supply refers to the technology of providing DC power for other devices without any changes in the existing Ethernet Cat.5 cabling infrastructure. This method is mainly applied to high-definition network digital surveillance systems.

Advantages: Lower cost, flexible deployment, convenient and fast, beautiful and beautiful, single port maximum power up to 30W.

Disadvantages: The quality of the network cable is high, the transmission distance is limited, and the power of the powered device cannot exceed 30W.

Precautions

1, When using infrared cameras, centralized power supply is not recommended. Because the current is large when the infrared is turned on, it is difficult to ensure the infrared effect of all cameras by the centralized power supply mode.

2, point to point power supply, nearest access to electricity, can save lines, is a big savings, but after-sales maintenance, extremely difficult to maintain; this is positive, centralized power supply has a benefit, after the maintenance is simple, not easy to issue, But if you don't want to overshoot the wire, if you're done, you'll be able to use the point-to-point power supply. This is a long-term use of centralized power supply.

3, if the outlet is more than one, the nearest power supply can be used separately. If there is not much, it can be concentrated. If it is indoors, you can use the sheathed power cable.

4, When the number of cameras is relatively large, and the power supply distance does not exceed 100 meters, it is recommended to use PoE power supply, without special construction, convenient and quick, but pay attention to the choice of PoE power supply equipment.
