Introduction of magnetic separator
Magnetic separation is a continuous process that separates magnetic materials from non-magnetic ones. The mixture is passed through a strong magnetic field, where the magnetic material becomes magnetized and is attracted to the surface of the separator, then discharged into a chute.
The efficiency of the separator depends on the strength of the magnet and the speed of the conveyor. The magnet's length is designed so that the magnetic material stays in the magnetic field for 0.4 to 0.5 seconds. Strontium Ferrite permanent blocks are used to achieve a surface gauss of 2500.
The gap between the magnet and the conveyor can be adjusted. A smaller gap improves separation efficiency. Each separator and conveyor has its own drive system. Adjustable stainless steel splitters are placed between the chutes. A vibrating feeder with two unbalance motors ensures even distribution of the material across the belt, enhancing the separation process. Belt-type separators are available for widths ranging from 650 mm to 2000 mm.
Classification of magnetic separator
Electromagnetic Type (with control panel): Uses rare earth magnets and ferrite magnets for the magnetic system.
Permanent Type (without control panel): Utilizes excitation coils for the electromagnetic system. This type is commonly used in continuous operations with large amounts of iron materials.

Operating Principle
The magnetic and nonmagnetic materials pass under the magnetic separator via a conveyor. The mixture is evenly fed onto the conveyor using a feeder. Under the influence of the magnetic field, the magnetic material is attracted upward towards the magnet face. It is carried along the cleated belt of the separator and continuously discharged into the magnet chute. The non-magnetic material is carried by the bottom conveyor and discharged into the non-mag chute.

Model Selection
1. Before selecting, consider factors like whether the tape is conveyable, belt width, inclination, material properties, humidity, thickness, amount of iron in the material, nature of ferromagnetic material, iron removal requirements, and usage environment.
2. For higher iron content, choose RCDC, RCDD, RCDF series.
3. For lower iron content, choose RCDA, RCDB, RCDE series.
4. When using suspended electric or permanent magnet iron removers, if the material is thick, use the WCTG series of five parallel rollers to improve iron removal efficiency.
5. If the material cannot be adsorbed by the iron remover, use a metal detector to detect metals and perform automatic iron removal after shutdown.
