Description of Wet Type Mineral Processing Magnetic Drum SeparatorThe wet magnetic separator produced by our factory is designed for strong magnetic minerals with particle sizes under 3mm, such as magnetite, calcined ore, and ilmenite. It is also widely used in the iron removal process in coal, non-ferrous metals, and building materials industries. Our factory offers various magnetic force grade separators available in downstream, semi-counter current, and counter current configurations. The equipment features a simple structure, large capacity, ease of operation, and maintenance.
Working Principle of Wet Type Mineral Processing Magnetic Drum Separator
When raw materials enter the tank body of the magnetic separator, their flow direction aligns with the rotation of the magnetic drum. Iron magnetite materials are attracted to the surface of the drum, marking the first stage of separation. In the second stage, flushing water from below washes back the raw materials, reversing the flow direction relative to the drum's rotation. As the drum rotates, the iron magnetite on its surface exits the magnetic field and falls into the concentrate box due to gravity. The upper flushing water helps guide the magnetite into the concentrate box. Weakly magnetic or non-magnetic materials are not attracted and exit as tailings through the discharge pipe.
